Communication from them was fantastic; all questions, phone calls, and email were answered the same day, usually within an hour or so. Jori even reached out to me after getting an out of office reply on President’s Day. We had a quick turnaround from contract to close (42 days) and everything was ready and approved two and a half weeks ahead of time.

And our local real estate agent referred Max Leaman and his team to us for handling the financing. We were really fortunate to have them on our side throughout the entire process, from pre-approval letter to closing. Max is highly professional and always answered our questions quickly and clearly and made everything stress free for us. He even made sure to keep checking loan interest rates until the very last minute and we ended up getting a slightly lower rate than he originally quoted. And, even though we are in another state and signed the closing documents through a notary, Max and his team made sure that the closing went smoothly (and everybody got what they wished for :)). Yes! 5 full stars :) and we’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking to buy a property in Austin!

Often times getting a mortgage is a stressful experience and it doesn’t help when it’s coupled with impersonal staff that doesn’t seem to care that much. With the Leaman team, it is the exact opposite experience. They take all the stress and worry out and offer a real personal experience. She had closed with the loan officer there and thought I would get a good rate and good service. I can say the rate was competitive, but service was terrible. Really terrible. After being frustrated with that, I explored other options and found Max Leaman. I had heard good things about Lending from my friends that are in Title, so I called them. Jori called me back immediately, got me the info I needed and got everything going quickly. It was smooth sailing from there. They were clear about what they needed and the process really couldn’t have been easier. I have already recommended and would not hesitate to use them again in the future. I got a fantastic rate, closed early, everyone was super nice and on top of it all, I had to really do very little other than respond to their requests and show up at closing. Perfect!

The first company we went with beat around the bush led us on and was just horrible to work with. We were building new construction and it was about a month and a half out from our closing date when we had had enough of the old company. At that time we reached out to the Leaman team and they took care of everything. They were able to get us approved in a very timely fashion and we didn’t even have to push our closing back at all. They are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly I would recommend them to anybody I know.

Because construction is known to have delays (especially in Austin!), we were having to update Max’s team a lot with changes to our closing date. I have used this company before to refinance, and the process is always super-smooth. Their people are knowledgeable and helpful, they respond quickly to emails and phone calls, and I just couldn’t ask for a better experience. I invest in rental properties, so I’ve been to a lot of closings. Max Leaman is definitely the easiest to deal with, and they have great rates, too. I was able to email them a couple of days before closing and get the interest rate dropped based on a market decrease. Everything was handled via email — my preference — and only a few documents had to be hand-signed; most of it could be done electronically. The closing was scheduled quickly at a place very near my home, and they followed up quickly. I just got everything funded, and I got exactly what I needed out of the process. I very highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about refinancing their mortgage.

Max and his team are awesome. He helped us close a difficult deal on an investment property last year where other lenders could not deliver…Max did.

Then, our realtor independently suggested we work with him. We had a introductory call and his rates were not only BETTER than any big bank or credit union, but the turn around time and process was so much easier. When dealing with Max and the team you really feel like they have your back. I don’t think a bank or even credit union will give you their cell number to call or text should you have questions. They really care and do an excellent job moving things along quickly. We were approved and all the paperwork was taken care of in only about 2 weeks, even though I had just started a new job. It was our first home purchase and we’re grateful to have gone with Max and his team. They are top of the line in all aspects of what you could want. 5 year and a Originally I had signed up for a mortgage loan with Chase Bank who promised me a closing date of 45 to 60 days.

Chase also told me that I only qualified for a 30 year plan and a 4.1 % interest rate. After 85 days of pestering Chase to get me to closing I finally fired them and found lender. Withing a day, my loan agent was able to qualify me for a 15 year plan and a 3.85% interest rate with a closing date of 35 days. They handled everything and I just got my funds. They did everything so fast and so efficient. I dont know why anyone would choose another lender.

a lifesaver when I was trying to get a loan for a condo. I live in Houston and was having trouble finding a company that knew how to/was willing to give a loan for a condo. It was a holiday weekend and I really wanted to put an offer on this condo ASAP, so I called The Leaman team. so helpful and I was able to get a pre-approval letter very quickly. extremely knowledgeable and easy to get in touch with. The process was as easy as it could have possibly been. Even my realtor was pleasantly surprised with how smoothly everything went for us, despite the fact that The Leaman Team is based in Austin. My closing was very stress-free. If it weren’t for the Leaman Team, I probably would not have been able to get my top choice for a home. Thank you Leaman Team!

Max Leaman and Janey are the definition of pro’s. Our closing was so smooth and the process is so user friendly. It almost seems like it didn’t happen. I was introduced to lending through my realtor, who was nervous about the lender I chose (just out of the air). They had quoted me at 4.25%-4.50%. Now I have to say I have a rough credit history, so I was willing to trust the rate given me. Then My Realtor said you have to call MAX LEAMAN!! “He is the best in town”. Max told me right off the bad I was getting a bad deal and said he could do 4% at least. The other company quickly matched it and grumbled about Max. The thing is if it was that easy why didn’t they do it in the first place? It was Max’s honesty that made me switch. Honesty and integrity. The following weeks were a constant Barrage of paperwork and signatures that Janey made so simple. She was hyper-available for any questions I had then they made my dream a reality. Oh…I almost forgot…that 4% I told you about…Max got me down to 3.75%! $40,000 savings in interest over my loan. There is a reason you’re the best in town and I’m living in it!!! A++++

Amanda Stewart is hands down THE person to have handle your mortgage needs!!!

She gave the most practical advice on how to bring my score up to get the better rates, and she helped me through every step of the process like a rock star, even with the lengthy nightmare we endured from the seller. She will make you feel like family, and her patience and professionalism are definitely unmatched. The customer service does not stop at closing, either. Be prepared for some small tokens of appreciation that come even a year after signing on the dotted line! I cannot recommend Amanda and the Leaman Team enough!

After searching the rates with one of those online mortgage companies, we decided to work with a local company to purchase our home. Max and his team were extremely helpful in securing financing for our first home purchase. Max and his team remained in constant contact throughout the entire mortgage process and after receiving a couple of different options, Max went above and beyond to ensure we received the best interest rate and lowest monthly payment possible!

I had a complex situation (jumbo loan with a quick closing date, plus I already have a couple of other mortgages on investment properties). Max Leaman assured me that he could make it happen, and he did! Communication was timely and concise, and Max followed through with everything he promised to do. I had always been under the impression that home buying was going to be at least difficult – it’s certainly involved, but the Leaman Team really made it smooth and easy to navigate. After months of shopping for a home, we finally found exactly what we wanted, but an offer was already in on it. We had less than 24 hours to get our offer in, and we didn’t even have a prequalificaiton letter… and it was a Saturday. No sweat. Jori had it taken care of within a couple of hours, including the prequalification letter. We knew we were clear to close days in advance, and when we did close, it was perfect and easy. Next time I’m on the market, I know exactly who I’m calling.

This group helped me buy my first home.

He explained the lending process, helped with paperwork questions and even clued me in on buying/renting out property in the future.

Once my husband and I found the perfect house, he was on it immediately: responding to emails and phone calls after regular businesses hours and keeping me up-to-date with everything (and it’s A LOT)! He even made sure to keep checking loan interest rates to make sure I got the best rate up until the very last minute!

He has so many great reviews and it’s because he is down-to-earth and just plain awesome. You definitely need to go talk to him!

I was never handed-off to other people to help me close my loan. The other guys had me wade through a series of “specialists” to handle different parts of the process, none of whom seemed to care. My loan officer from Max Leaman wanted to help and was always available to answer questions and help. I will DEFINITELY call Max Leaman the next time I’m looking for a mortgage or refi.

I spent a year looking for the right house. During that year I sent lots of emails with questions and they were always helpful and willing to make sure I had what I needed. Once we found a home to buy, the closing date was a short timeframe but they got everything done very quickly and met the deadline. The best part about everyone at Max Leaman is the customer service and response times. Whenever I called, the phone was answered immediately — I don’t think I ever had to leave a voice mail. And emails were always responded to very timely. I don’t plan on needing another mortgage soon but if I do I wouldn’t call anyone other than Jori Stearn and the Max Leaman team.

I went into this process with little to no hope of even being able to qualify. Amanda Stewart is PHENOMENAL! She offered us suggestions at the beginning to improve our scores, answered so many questions at all hours of the day, and was nothing but patient and helpful.
