It is always hard when purchasing a new home, so many options and tons of questions. I am pretty methotical and have my own set of dos and don’ts type of questions. Max was fatastic to work with. If I had any questions, the response time from Max or one of his team members was incredible.

EXTREMELY. their turnaround on a loan is much better than a ton of others out there on the market. :: Max and his team work extremely hard to get the paperwork through the system as efficiently as possible. they are constantly in #beastmode and it is impressive. they have things down to an art. :: they allow you to supply required documentation digitally, which simplifies a lot. no more mailing, no more faxing…just upload! bonus. :: have i mentioned how damn good they are at moving things along the homebuying process? The Bad: :: none The Ugly: :: none Would I use them again? If I am back in the market for a house and need a lender, you can bet I will go with Max and his team again. I’ve used them twice now and will continue to refer them to anyone and everyone. This business is IN.

I cannot begin to say how AMAZING this team is. We were first time home buyers and we were very confused with the whole process.

Amanda S. and her team answered every question we ever had. Their team was on point every step of the way. We were also recommended an excellent realtor by them aswell. We had some isses during the process but they kept us on schedule the entire time and made this process less of a stressor than thought it would be. One thing I can say for sure, Amanda, Krystal and Lesley, they made this such an easy process for our family we wouldnt choose any other company but them if we ever bought another house in the future. Choose Charlie’s Angels…. excuse me… The Leaman Team! Now if they could only help us unpack! (Just kidding!)

We’ve used Max for both of our last two home mortgage loans, and BOTH times he’s been able to figure out a way to help us when others were saying no or giving us less favorable terms. The first loan we did with him, the credit market was beginning to freeze up, and he figured out how to make a deal work when 8 other brokers told us no. He’s really, truly a cut above everybody else – he’s smarter, more motivated, and more willing to go the extra mile to make a deal work. We’ll never go anywhere else.

It took us over 6 months to find the right house but Jori Stern and team were friendly, responsive, and efficient throughout the entire process. We did not experience a single problem from pre-approval to closing. In fact, at our request, we closed a few days earlier than originally planned. We are very happy that we chose the Leaman Team for the purchase of our home and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to purchase property in the Austin area. At the beginning of our home search, I didn’t fully appreciate how disastrous it would be to have a last-minute glitch with our loan. Jori is solid: She’s direct (but totally nice), she is lightning quick to respond to emails or calls, and she and her team are meticulous and intense about making sure every detail is perfectly aligned towards meeting the close date. Incidentally, I called Jori based on reviews here on Yelp. A month or two later I called realtors, and chose to work with another Yelp superstar, Don Powers with Dwell Realty. I told him I was working with a mortgage person I also found on Yelp, and he said “let me guess — Jori Stern.” Not only did he rave about her ability to get deals closed, she had just done a mortgage for him.

Max and the Leaman Team made the mortgage application process as easy and painless as it could possibly be.

My realtor, Jane Amschwand, recommended Jori and it was a no brainer to go with her. She walked me through my options, made it super simple and easy to get all the right documents together to get approved, and then speedily churned out the pre-approval letters until I finally got a house I love in this crazy Austin market. Nothing about buying a house was simple, but everything about my financing was, I felt super comfortable going in to close, and I would use Jori again in a heartbeat (though I sincerely hope not to be buying a house again any time soon!).

We bought our home in Austin while still living in San Francisco, and Max and his team were there for us from the first moment we started exploring this move in the Fall of 2015, up until we signed the closing contract in late May of 2016. Max was recommended to me by my real estate agent and I’m so glad she did. Max coached me through the process and gave me very solid advice about how to go about getting our first-ever mortgage (as life-long renters, my husband and I had no clue) and was always a phone call away throughout this extremely stressful process. He even called me as he was leaving for vacation just to check that we were OK as he could tell I was a nervous wreck. I trust his opinions completely–he is almost like speaking with a financial advisor–and he always steered me in the sensible direction (even if I didn’t always want to hear what he had to say). Max can be very direct, but he’s got a sense of humor and I always knew he was looking out for our best interests. If you want a mortgage broker who is honest and trustworthy, and knows the business inside out, Max and the team at Leaman Realty are a great choice. We will be going back to Max when the time comes to refinance and look forward to working with them again. Oh, and we love our new home and Austin, too!

This time we decided to give Max a try since they were local and came recommended. Very smooth process and they kept me informed so I knew what was going on all the time. Have not met the Lehman Team in person but they are very nice and cordial over the phone while explaining the barage of questions that we had. Lastly, but most important is that they stuck to the closing date and we closed exactly on time. Really positive experience.

As a first time homebuyer, Team Leaman was so responsive. I could call or email any time with any question. They would take the time to explain to me, in detail, all of my questions and they gave advice when asked. This was my first home-buying experience, and I was nervous about the process, the costs, and the speed with which I could secure a home loan. I had started with another lender that had assured me that all was well with my loan and just as docs were getting written up, everything fell apart. My real estate agent reached out to Max as soon as this occurred and within an hour I had my loan transferred over to the Leaman Group. The communication from all of the team was outstanding and I always knew where we were in the process- which was important, as we were striving for a 30 day close and a holiday weekend sandwiched in the middle. Being newcomers to Austin from another state, we were working with a national mortgage company and the process was so cumbersome and difficult. Our agent suggested working with Max Leaman and I can honestly say that Max and his team really got the job done. Our loan was closed quickly and efficiently. Little issues that crept up were dealt with immediately and the process did not slow down. Being new to Texas, Max’s advice regarding real estate transactions in Texas was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. It really was a pleasure working with Max and he is someone I came to really trust. My agent was correct in saying what great service the Max Leaman team provided. They really get the job done. The whole team was very responsive, which is very important to me. Another big plus is their positive attitude and the ability to make my difficult condo mortgage happen. Some condos like mine are extra difficult to close, but they worked through it all with me. I couldn’t be happier and would definitely work with them again in the future. Overall I felt the whole process was pleasant and everyone was very involved and responsive. I feel I was very well taken care of and well informed though out. I would recommend their team to my family and friends.

Communication from them was fantastic; all questions, phone calls, and email were answered the same day, usually within an hour or so. Jori even reached out to me after getting an out of office reply on President’s Day. We had a quick turnaround from contract to close (42 days) and everything was ready and approved two and a half weeks ahead of time.

And our local real estate agent referred Max Leaman and his team to us for handling the financing. We were really fortunate to have them on our side throughout the entire process, from pre-approval letter to closing. Max is highly professional and always answered our questions quickly and clearly and made everything stress free for us. He even made sure to keep checking loan interest rates until the very last minute and we ended up getting a slightly lower rate than he originally quoted. And, even though we are in another state and signed the closing documents through a notary, Max and his team made sure that the closing went smoothly (and everybody got what they wished for :)). Often times getting a mortgage is a stressful experience and it doesn’t help when it’s coupled with impersonal staff that doesn’t seem to care that much. She had closed with the loan officer there and thought I would get a good rate and good service. I can say the rate was competitive, but service was terrible. Really terrible. After being frustrated with that, I explored other options and found Max Leaman. I had heard good things about Lending from my friends that are in Title, so I called them. Jori called me back immediately, got me the info I needed and got everything going quickly. It was smooth sailing from there. They were clear about what they needed and the process really couldn’t have been easier. I have already recommended and would not hesitate to use them again in the future. I got a fantastic rate, closed early, everyone was super nice and on top of it all, I had to really do very little other than respond to their requests and show up at closing. Perfect!

The first company we went with beat around the bush led us on and was just horrible to work with. We were building new construction and it was about a month and a half out from our closing date when we had had enough of the old company. At that time we reached out to the Leaman team and they took care of everything. They were able to get us approved in a very timely fashion and we didn’t even have to push our closing back at all. I have used this company before to refinance, and the process is always super-smooth. Their people are knowledgeable and helpful, they respond quickly to emails and phone calls, and I just couldn’t ask for a better experience. I invest in rental properties, so I’ve been to a lot of closings. Max Leaman is definitely the easiest to deal with, and they have great rates, too. I was able to email them a couple of days before closing and get the interest rate dropped based on a market decrease. Everything was handled via email — my preference — and only a few documents had to be hand-signed; most of it could be done electronically. The closing was scheduled quickly at a place very near my home, and they followed up quickly. I just got everything funded, and I got exactly what I needed out of the process. I very highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about refinancing their mortgage.

Max and his team are awesome. He helped us close a difficult deal on an investment property last year where other lenders could not deliver…Max did.
