They got our FHA loan done in just over two weeks. This is after four other lenders indicated that there was “no way we could do that loan.” The Leaman team understands how to properly work with people who are divorced who pay alimony which affects your debt-to-income ratio. You should call and ask for Misty Lynch. Misty knows how to get things done and will respond to you and understands technology.

‘Nuff said. I’ve gone through Max TWICE now to purchase my homes. The second time, the builder was throwing big incentives to use their lender, and I STILL went with Max because I KNOW that he’ll get everything done. That’s how good he is. There’s no better alternative and no amount of money that replaces the peace of mind, knowing that Max can close on the day you need and you won’t have any surprises at the closing table. Because the last thing you want is more surprises when it comes to buying a house. Max will shoot your straight and find the BEST solution for you. He thinks outside the box and knows the ins and outs better than anyone I’ve ever met. If/when I buy another home, Max will certainly be my mortgage provider, once again.

Before putting an offer on a home he sat down me during the pre-qualification phase to discuss what I would feel comfortable paying rather than what I was qualified to purchase. Max’s team was also great during the closing period. Max reached out to me personally when a problem came up during the appraisal a few days before the closing date. Max and team worked like crazy to make sure our closing was not delayed. I plan on using Max Leaman again and I definitely recommend Max and his team!

I was shopping for loans at a particularly volatile time in the market, and Amanda locked in a great rate for me, just before rates increased. Other lenders I shopped were not willing to lock in rates, and as a result, the rate I was offered from Max Leaman beat all the others by a long shot! I was a first-time home buyer with many questions. Amanda was very patient and helpful, promptly answering all of my many questions. I had a short time period between my offer and closing date, and Max Leaman got everything finished in plenty of time. I would highly recommend using Max Leaman for your mortgage and Amanda Stewart specifically.

Max personally handled my loan and I had the pleasure of occasionally dealing with some other team members as well. They could not have made buying my first home a more pleasant experience. They answered all of my questions the same day, even when he was on vacation. Somehow Max even managed to get my loan closed and funded on a Friday after 5pm before I even finished signing documents with Title. I look forward to using them on all future home purchases and highly recommend them to anyone considering a lender.

This recent purchase was exceptionally more challenging than the last, since 2 days before we were set to close on the home, it was flooded by Harvey. The Leaman Team were awesome through the whole ordeal and when we were able to find our next home, that didn’t flood, they were able to help us close in only 25 days. We can’t say enough about how great they are. They truly do care for their customers and although the circumstances, we were able to get a great deal on the home and on our loan. We just closed on our first home ten days ago and the Leaman Team went above and beyond to make the process smooth, efficient, and dare I say it kind of fun. The loan officer we worked with was Jori. We looked at homes for 2.5 months, made offers on 4 homes, came under contract for 3, and eventually purchased 1. No matter what we needed, Jori was prompt, patient, kind, and swift in replying to my dumb questions and processing all the necessary paperwork. We turned in our last documents about a week before closing, which meant no rushing around and no last minute screw-ups the night before closing. Within 2 hours of closing, our loan was funded and we were going back to the title company for our house keys. These people know what they’re doing.

My loan was approved in under 30 days. Max took care of finding tax related documentation I could not provide, since they were in storage. I traveled overseas in the midsts of the purchase of my home and his team truly took care of me in a seemless manner. I took care of providing him the initial documentation needed and he took care of all the rest. Thanks Max Leaman for the great work!

Jori was very patient in answering every single question I had (and I had a lot as a first time home buyer), and she was very quick to respond my endless number of emails. Getting the documents to them, signing paper work and following up with additional documents with Michelle was easy and all done electronically (super convenient!). I never worried about not being able to close on time just because Jori and team always kept me updated and they would follow up with a call to remind me about documents or actions I needed to take. The rates they offered were competitive and were very spot on in the estimate for closing. We would definitely reach out to Jori again if we are in the market for a mortgage. I don’t think we could have had a smoother process as we did without all the hard work from Jori and Michelle.

Three hours later, my final approval was rescinded. They were quite apologetic. Turns out an underwriter on their team had lived in Austin years before and was positive that nothing in east Austin was worth what I was paying (despite the fact that the seller, a friend, was cutting me a huge break!). Pay no mind to the fact that they had already gotten me to cash out my retirement account with the city, sell my car and call in every favor owed. I was out of luck and out of time–the contract was expiring. I frantically searched around and found the Leaman Team. After talking to Max for an hour he called the seller and explained that he needs an extra few weeks and that he could make the transaction happen. He did it. I’m in the home I’ve adored since it was built in 2008 and I’m sending everyone who needs lending power his way. If you don’t like risk–go with Max.
Responsive, knowledgeable, and fair. We’ve worked with Max and his team for two residential mortgages and I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

I worked with Amanda Stewart when buying my first home and she was a delight to work with during the entire process, which actually got somewhat complex because in the middle of it, I decided I wanted to try and work some renovations/repairs into the mortgage. Until I met Amanda, I had no idea this stellar level of customer service and professionalism existed in lending! In contrast, I cannot believe how I’ve allowed other lenders to treat me in the past. It’s kind of like dentistry- until you switch to a caring provider, you think all dentists could care less about pain.
I very rarely write reviews. But this will benefit a lot of people. This is how my last 2 home purchases have went with Amanda:
I asked for a loan. Amanda told me what documents to send her. She prequalified me. She locked in a rate. We closed 3 weeks later.
Plus, she found every possible way to save me money. She is attentive to detail and respects your time. Instead of attempting to list all her great attributes as a subject matter expert in mortgage lending- I can sum it all up with this: You will feel like you are her only client.
(Both title companies complimented her and her work as well)

Our realtor recommended the Leaman Team to us based on his experience with them, noting their attention to detail, professionalism, high standard of customer service and overall knowledge of the mortgage lending process. We started off by contacting Mr. Max Leaman. His response to our inquiry was lightning quick, even emailing us late into the night answering all the questions. This on its own was highly impressive to me. Once we started the initial loan process, Ms. Amanda Stewart was assigned to our portfolio to guide us through the detailed process of a buying a home, the steps we needed to take to receive a higher loan amount, etc. Ms. Stewart was/is absolutely amazing in her attention to detail, her above and beyond customer service, overall demeanor and her patience with our dozens of questions, which subsequently helped us remain calm as we navigated the loan process. The Leaman Team sets the standard that all mortgage lending companies should adhere to and follow. It’s not hard to see why they are rated #1the last five (5) years as Austin’s Top Lender. We will use the Leaman Team for all our future home buying needs. After all, I honestly don’t think anyone could ever top them, period!

Amanda and the rest of the team helped me make a smooth transition during quite possibly the most stressful time of my life! They worked quickly and helped me close my loan in record breaking time! I initially contacted the Leaman Team around September 5th and closed on my new home October 6th! They were even ready to close sooner, but the previous owner of the property wasn’t quite ready! After shopping around, they even got me the best interest rate! The entire staff was helpful and prompt to respond throughout the entire process! I was in disbelief that they could have that many 5 star reviews, but those stars are well deserved. We had been burned in the past by a broker who used Quicken to fund us. The day before closing, they mixed up some info and we lost the house, so we were apprehensive. Add that we had to close by the end of the shortest month of the year and had already lost a week because of a slow moving broker. Anyways, they were amazing, confident, and were constantly reachable Thanks y’all for getting us into our home. Amanda and Erika, you are amazing!

I truly appreciated and continue to appreciate the attention they paid, the willingness to answer questions and the friendly communication. As a newbie homebuyer and doing it on my own, I was quite nervous about the process, working with the team made it so much easier. Also, I spoke with multiple real estate agents who brightened when I said I was working. They know for their professionalism and being easy to work with. The rep at the title company also seemed pleased that my paperwork was coming. Apparently, title companies know for an efficient packet to complete at close. Thank you again to the team.

They were prompt, knowledgeable, proactive and honest. We had a unique financial situation and they had no problem underwriting and closing our loan. I spoke to a number of different people at the Leaman Team and they were all the same, wonderful. If you choose to use them you will not be disappointed. There are many mortgage brokers to choose from but if you want a smooth closing with no surprises, these are the people to use.

Max came in literally 1-2 days before the deadline and smoothed everything out and the seller chose our offer because they spoke to Max via phone and had great confidence after doing so. Max helped us out at a very volatile period of the market (November 2017 election period). He helped us get the best possible rate with a built-in-option, free of charge! Furthermore, when the closing date had to be pushed for about ten days, he extended without any issues. Everything went very smoothly. In addition to all this, he was always available for communication and very honest and forthcomming about all the items in the closing costs. It is always hard when purchasing a new home, so many options and tons of questions. I am pretty methotical and have my own set of dos and don’ts type of questions. Max was fatastic to work with. If I had any questions, the response time from Max or one of his team members was incredible.

I had to find the pros, and what I wanted was a great deal and great service. Max Leaman team, that is what they offered. I worked with Amanda Stewart, she was extremely nice, efficient and professional. She took me and walked me through the complicated real estate financing process.
