Freedom Over Texas – Houston July 4th, 2017

Fireworks will ignite the sky, and country tunes will set the stage for Houston’s signature annual patriotic celebration, US Family Health Plan Freedom Over Texas from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4 at the newly renovated Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou (along Allen Parkway).

Celebrating 30 years of July 4th music, fireworks and fanfare on Buffalo Bayou, Houston’s signature patriotic event – CITGO Freedom Over Texas – will turn it WAY up with live performances, family activities and stunning pyrotechnics Tuesday, July 4th from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. For the first time in the event’s history, the celebration will kick off with a patriotic tribute by United States Air Force Band of the West. Grammy-nominated and CMA-winning artist, HUNTER HAYES will follow before multi-platinum selling, 2016 MTV Video Music Award-winning DNCE takes the stage. As is tradition, the evening will conclude with a spectacular blast of fireworks thanks to CITGO who has provided the finale since 2015. This year, CITGO signed on as a dual sponsor providing both the pyrotechnics and titling the event for the next three years.

Houston Star-Spangled Salute – 3rd of July, 2017

When: Monday, July 3rd, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:30)

The holiday festivities begin on Monday, July 3, 2017, with the Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute. The concert features a selection of patriotic favorites, American Classics, sing-alongs, and of course, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” complete with cannons from atop the hill. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and admission is FREE. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. This is a FREE event! No tickets required.

Pearland Celebration of Freedom – July 4, 2017

Join us in celebrating our country’s birthday! Stadium and field seating will be available at no charge beginning at 6 p.m. A VFW military salute will begin the evening’s entertainment, followed by a performance of the National Anthem.

At 9 p.m., enjoy a spectacular fireworks show, “unleashed” by Westside Veterinary Hospital, to conclude the night.

178th City of Galveston Celebration Independence Day Parade and Fireworks

Where: 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard

If you’re looking for a change of scenery to celebrate Independence Day, Galveston Island is just the place to make your holiday a true get-away. From fireworks over the beach to a traditional hometown parade, the 178th City of Galveston Celebration Independence Day Parade and Fireworks will offer plenty of excitement for the July 4th weekend.
Coming up the evening of July 4, Galveston Island will celebrate its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles and performers.
The parade will kick off at 7:45 p.m. with a procession on Seawall Boulevard starting at 41st Street and ending at 12th Street.
After the parade, the island will host a 20-minute fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico at 9:15 p.m. near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard.
