Treat Street in the Stockyards

WHAT: Dress your family in their Halloween best and head on down to the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards on Wednesday, October 31! Join Stockyards Station and Radio Disney from 6-8pm for costume contests, pumpkin decorating, games, hayrides and trick or treating at Stockyards Station shops.
Treat Street is a safe, family-friendly event that is FREE and open to the public. All Treat Street activities will occur in Stockyards Station Mall located at 140 East Exchange Avenue.

WHAT: Autumn at the Arboretum features the nationally acclaimed pumpkin village. Featured daily are the Great Pumpkin Search scavenger hunt, Hay Bale Maze in Pecan Grove, and Pumpkin Village displaying four houses decorated with pumpkins, gourds and squash in the theme of Cinderella’s Ballroom, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother’s tiny house, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Dr. Pompo’s Nose.

WHAT: In 2016, Hangman’s House of Horrors will celebrate its 28th year as the top charity-benefiting haunted house in the nation! To date, the house has entertained over half a million victims and almost $2 million to local charities!
House of Horrors, No Place Like Home 3D and Zombie Outbreak! Additionally, the nineteen-acre property will be transformed into an exciting festival area featuring live bands, food trucks, free photos, festival activities, novelties and more.
Hangman’s has recently been featured on the Travel Channel’s “America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions,” a television special showcasing the nation’s top haunts. Cutting Edge Haunted House

WHAT: Cutting Edge Haunted House is a dark attraction filled with terrifying live actors, amazing special effects and incredible monsters. This intense, cutting edge, multi-story, multi-themed haunted attraction is widely considered to be one of the best Haunted Houses in the nation, full of chilling detail and unbelievable scares.
Located in a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant in a sections of Fort Worth historically dubbed as “Hell’s Half Acre,” the Cutting Edge Haunted House is built upon a foundation of fear. The meant packing equipment is still in use, but now it is a two-story human processing area. Realistic looking human mannequins are hoisted up to the second level and brought through the entire meat packing process until the conveyor system brings the butchered corpses back to the first level. The old meat-packing plant in downtown Fort Worth is a great home for the fantastic special effects that our loyal customers have come to expect. It takes visitors an average 55 minutes to explore Cutting Edge Haunted House. The walk-through is replete with frighteningly-realistic props.

Legends of McKinney Ghost Walk

WHERE: Chestnut Square Historic Village and Downtown McKinney
WHAT: Learn about the haunted history of McKinney through this self-guided, self-paced Ghost Walk throughout Chestnut Square Historic Village and the downtown McKinney Square. Ticket booklets provide maps of the sites and storytellers at each site share the legends! Once you have your ticket booklet you can map out your route with stops in between for fun and food! Ticket booklets and wrist bands are available at Chestnut Square Historic Village and the McKinney Performing Arts Center.

4th Annual Ghouls on the Lawn
WHEN: October 23, 2016 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
WHERE: Tucker Hill, McKinney, TX
WHAT: Ghouls on the Lawn features trick-or-treating (5-7 pm only), haunted graveyard, boo-tanical gardens, pumpkin painting, hayrides, petting zoo, magic show, ghost stories while roasting marshmallows, ghoulish party pictures, monster mash and even a live performance of Harry Potter’s Dance of the Dementors every hour on the hour! The North Texas Food Bank will accept canned food donations at the event entrances for anyone wishing to donate.

WHAT: McKinney’s annual Scare on the Square has grown to hundreds of trick-or-treaters enjoying hayrides, treats and a safe, secure, family-fun Halloween event. Historic Downtown is closed off for trick-or-treaters to cross the street safely and go shop-to-shop for goodies. Bring your little goblins and join us for Scare on the Square!

Halloween Kids Night Out – Plano Square Mall
WHEN: October 31, 2016, 6-8pm
WHERE: Plano Market Square Mall
WHAT: For children k-5, this year, as in years past, community retailers and the Plano Police, will come together on Halloween night at Plano Market Square Mall to provide children with a safe alternative to outdoor Trick-Or-Treating. Within this secure environment, children will be able to play games, win prizes and Trick-Or-Treat at the numerous booths setup within the mall.
In order to make this event a success the Police Department accepts donations of candy from neighborhood groups, businesses and individuals. In return for making candy or monetary donations to purchase candy, those who made donations have their names displayed and showcased at the event.
