He listened to our concerns and gave options that would work best for our situation. He kept us in the drivers seat while still keeping us under control. Max even came to our closing to make sure all our questions concerning our lending were answered. I hope I wont have to buy a house for many years but if we do we will go see Max.

We had a very difficult situation due to the relocation and we were under tremendous pressure to get a loan under very tight time window. The first lender we tried to work with couldn’t handle and end up giving up on us. Fortunately, we found Max Leaman Austin Mortgage. She was courteous really helpfull and extremely diligent in getting our first loan application completed and approved. After searching we didn’t find a house so decided to wait for another year.
The past 6 months we started looking again and Jori was great at remembering our situation knowing what we were looking for and got us approved in no time.
This past December we closed on our first home and Jori was a great help every step of the way. She would outline step by step instructions and ensure that we completed every document required to alleviate any concerns or problems that we had.
My wife and I can not speak highly enough of this company and we will definitely be using them again when we some day decided to buy another house!

I was really worried when the first lender told me they could only offer me an adjustable rate mortgage because the condo I was looking to buy was considered non-warrantable. My agent connected me with the Leaman Team and they were able to offer me a fixed rate mortgage with a good interest rate on the same property. I was relieved to say the least. Jori Stern was especially helpful. She answered all of my questions and was quick to respond to emails. The whole process went very smoothly. I highly recommend the Leaman Team.

Jori was great from beginning to end. As soon as I talked to her on the phone I knew she was a no bull kind of person. In fact, I knew I was going with this company the second I talked to Jori. Not once did I feel like I was talking to a car salesman unlike other mortgage companies. Jori explained everything clearly and in detail. Email communication was excellent and closing was surprisingly easy! They came to me at my house to close and it only took 30 minutes.
Max Leaman is an awesome example of what a business should be. Great service, awesome people, and I even saved $400 a month with the refinance. These are the kind of people we all should keep in business. Very happy with them!
Here’s the thing. Buying a house, especially your first house, is super stressful. Working with Jori Stern from the Leaman team is the exact opposite

My realtor, Jane Amschwand, recommended Jori and it was a no brainer to go with her. She walked me through my options, made it super simple and easy to get all the right documents together to get approved, and then speedily churned out the pre-approval letters until I finally got a house I love in this crazy Austin market. Nothing about buying a house was simple, but everything about my financing was, I felt super comfortable going in to close, and I would use Jori again in a heartbeat (though I sincerely hope not to be buying a house again any time soon!).
Max was very professional, smart, and handled everything very professionally.

I have worked with mortgage brokers in the past, and it seems like most are pretty disorganized. Example, I end up having to re-send documentation over and over. I never had to do that with Max, and he kept me in the loop on the whole process.
I will definitely do business with them again.
