Freedom Over Texas – Houston July 4th, 2016

Where: Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou – 1800 Allen Parkway, Houston, TX 77019 
When: Saturday, July 4th, 2016, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 
Music: Darius Rucker

Fireworks will ignite the sky, and country tunes will set the stage for Houston’s signature annual patriotic celebration, US Family Health Plan Freedom Over Texas from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4 at the newly renovated Eleanor Tinsley Park on Buffalo Bayou (along Allen Parkway).

Darius Rucker, formerly lead vocalist of Hootie and the Blowfish, will headline the main stage. Rucker is a GRAMMY® Award winner and a 2009 CMA New Artist of the Year Award winner. Special guest the Eli Young Band will also perform. They are known for such country hits as “Crazy Girl” and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”. Houston’s own The Suffers will also share the stage, showcasing their signature fusion of rock and ‘Gulf Coast Soul’. Florida native and contemporary country artist, Brooke Eden will kick off the main stage entertainment. The evening will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display, choreographed to music, by CITGO.

Houston Star-Spangled Salute – 3rd of July, 2016

Where: The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion 
When: Friday, July 3rd, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:30) 
Music: Houston Symphony 
Price: Free 
Fireworks Time: TBD 
The holiday festivities begin on Sunday, July 3, 2016, with the Houston Symphony’s Star-Spangled Salute. The concert features a selection of patriotic favorites, American Classics, sing-alongs, and of course, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” complete with cannons from atop the hill. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, and admission is FREE. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. This is a FREE event! No tickets required.

Pearland Celebration of Freedom – July 4, 2016

Where: Pearland High School Football Stadium – 3775 South Main, Pearland, TX 77584 
When: Saturday, July 4th, 2016, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 
Music: The Slags 
Price: Free 
Fireworks: 9:00 p.m.

Join us in celebrating our country’s birthday! Stadium and field seating will be available at no charge beginning at 6 p.m. A VFW military salute will begin the evening’s entertainment, followed by a performance of the National Anthem. Then sit back, relax and sing along to the sounds of our featured band, The Slags, on the HEB Entertainment Stage! The Exchange Club of Pearland will be passing out free American flags again this year.
At 9 p.m., enjoy a spectacular fireworks show, “unleashed” by Westside Veterinary Hospital, to conclude the night.

Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza

Where: Town Green Park & Waterway Square

Celebrate freedom in The Woodlands with vendor booths*, great food, children’s activities** and entertainment on multiple stages at Town Green Park and Waterway Square from 6 to 10 p.m.! This community-wide celebration offers fun for all ages. The event culminates with one of the largest fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area with the 20+ minute Fireworks Extravaganza over The Woodlands Town Center.

Activities include H-E-B Eating Contests, strolling entertainers, face painters, balloon artists, inflatables sponsored by Kevin Brady for Congress and a Kids’ Zone sponsored by Wells Fargo featuring crafts and other family-fun games.

Hot Dog Eating Contests at 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m.
Watermelon Eating Contests at 6:45, 7:15, 7:45 and 8:15 p.m.
Participants may sign up for the Eating Contests at the HEB Tent located near the front of Town Green Park. Winners will be announced from the main stage at Town Green Park at approximately 8:50 p.m.

176th City of Galveston Celebration Independence Day Parade and Fireworks

Where: 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard 
When: Saturday, July 4th, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

If you’re looking for a change of scenery to celebrate Independence Day, Galveston Island is just the place to make your holiday a true get-away. From fireworks over the beach to a traditional hometown parade, the 177th City of Galveston Celebration Independence Day Parade and Fireworks will offer plenty of excitement for the July 4th weekend.
Coming up the evening of July 4, Galveston Island will celebrate its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles and performers.
The parade will kick off at 7:45 p.m. with a procession on Seawall Boulevard starting at 41st Street and ending at 12th Street.

After the parade, the island will host a 20-minute fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico at 9:15 p.m. near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard.
