WHAT: The premier event, the Pumpkin Hunt, includes a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields where mini pumpkins are hidden in the trees. After the Hunt enjoy pumpkin painting on the pavilion along with the other activities and games.

Austin Ghost Tours- Halloween

Halloween Children’s Concert

WHAT: It’s creepy, crawly and sooooo much fun…it’s spooky! Your little ghost or goblin will help haunt Long Center’s Dell Hall for Austin Symphony’s annual Halloween Children’s Concert. This exciting concert features frightfully fun symphonic music that is stimulating for young eyes and ears (ages 2-10). The entire family is invited to dress up in their favorite costume and enjoy “boo-tiful” music with their Austin Symphony Orchestra. Wear your costume!

Fall Fun Festival – Round Rock, Texas

WHEN: The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Fall Fun Festival 2010 will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at the soccer fields at Old Settlers Park.

WHERE: Old Settlers Park Soccer Fields. Old Settlers Park is located at 3300 Palm Valley Blvd. Round Rock, Texas.

WHAT: HOWDY! Come on down to the Old McDonald themed Fall Fun Festival. This is a fun and FREE event for toddlers and preschoolers. Participants will receive a goodie bag full of candy at the entrance and then can go run and play all of the carnival games including cookie stacking, spider ring toss, pumpkin knock down and much more! Don’t forget to hop on a hayride thru the park and enjoy cookies and punch! Remember to come in costume!

Round Rock Public Library staff will be there reading books at the festival and guests can climb on board a fire truck! Bring your trick or treat bags and collect goodies.

Guests are encouraged to bring a canned item for our local Round Rock Serving Center.

Boo at the Austin Zoo

WHEN: Boo at the Zoo happens nightly from 6:30 pm to 9 pm on Oct. 15,16,22,23,29,30, & 31. Trains runs every 20 minutes from 7:00 to 8:20.

Goblins in the Garden

WHEN: The 5th annual Goblins In The Garden event will take place on Sunday, October 24th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

WHERE: Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse Avenue, Austin, Texas 78739

WHAT: Come celebrate Halloween at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center! There will be spooky, fun activities on the grounds and gardens for all ages to enjoy. Participate in the Trail of Bones scavenger hunt, observe and learn from pumpkin carving demonstrations, visit Botanica the Herbal Witch in our Haunted Tower and get creative with fall-themed arts and crafts. There will also be a Scarecrow Contest for folks to enjoy, with scarecrows on exhibit starting three weeks before the day of the event. The Wildflower Center encourages families to dress up in Halloween costumes and bring a camera for this event – there will be many opportunities for memorable snap shots! A Halloween Whodunit on the Bertram Flyer

WHEN: October 30 & 31, 2010. Departs at 7:00 p.m. & returns at 10:00 p.m. [Cedar Park]. All passengers must board at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure. The ticket office opens 90 minutes prior to the train’s departure time, and trains begin boarding 45 minutes before departure. As a courtesy to other passengers, the train will not wait for late arriving passengers. Please remember tickets will not be refunded or re-issued unless cancelled in advance.

  • Have you tried our delicious homemade Strawberry Popsicles? Strawberries don’t ripen until the spring but you will think you are eating a fresh berry with these frozen treats.
  • The Pumpkin Grille will be serving up lunch goodies on weekends in October. The Grilled corn on the cob is WOW!
