Bring the entire family and join us for the biggest and best party in town celebrating our nation’s birth and our freedom. On Wednesday, July 4th, families are invited to participate in a fun-filled day of games, food and musical entertainment. The City’s official July Fourth Celebration is a FREE event sponsored by the San Antonio Parks Foundation, in cooperation with the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department. And with the City’s permission, this year’s celebration will include those rockets’ red glare!

The City of San Marcos is hosting the most exciting community independence celebration along the banks of the beautiful San Marcos River. This FREE event will feature live entertainment, food booths, children’s activities, children’s costume competition and parade.
 
 
Summerfest will be held on the grounds of San Marcos Plaza Park, same location as Sights of Sounds of Christmas. Rain or shine, festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a variety of musical and family entertainment until 10:00 p.m.

Every year ON July 4th since 1992, the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce has had its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza in the City Park to celebrate our Nation’s birthday. Thousands come to watch yearly and the event would not be possible without the help of many generous sponsors. This year our Gold Sponsors are the City of Lockhart and First Lockhart National Bank.
